Description

TEKNIKER’s 6+1-degree-of-freedom (DoF) robotic cell is designed for large-scale metal additive manufacturing using powder-based Laser Metal Deposition (DED-LB/P).

It enables the production of components of up to approximately 1 m³, with deposition rates of up to 6 kg/h. The system also supports the repair of existing components and the addition of material to their surfaces.

It is compatible with high-performance materials, including steels, Inconel, titanium and CuCrZr (copper-chromium-zirconium) alloys.

Equipment

  • Two powder deposition heads
  • Diode laser with a power output of up to 10 kW
  • Robot and positioning table with 7 degrees of freedom, capable of handling components of up to 1 m³
  • CAM software for generating robotic deposition trajectories
  • Dual-composition powder feeding system, with mixture percentages regulated by a PLC
  • Geometric monitoring and control system for component fabrication.
Services
  • Manufacturing of large-scale 3D geometries
  • Development of powder-based Laser Metal Deposition (LMD) equipment and technology
