Description
Infrastructure dedicated to the optical and spectroscopic characterisation of materials and devices at the micro- and nanoscale. It integrates vibrational spectroscopy and optical response techniques (FTIR, Raman spectroscopy, ellipsometry and optical microscopy) to identify composition, chemical bonds, dielectric properties and the behaviour of thin films and nanostructures. It provides experimental and analytical support for internal, collaborative and industrial projects.
Equipment
- SNOM microscope with integrated infrared spectroscopy
- Bruker Vertex FTIR spectrometer (ATR and DRIFT)
- Raman spectroscopy system (UV–visible–infrared lasers)
- J.A. Woollam spectroscopic ellipsometer
- Fluorescence microscopy and high-sensitivity optical systems
- Picosecond pulsed laser for dynamic studies
- Optical coupling and vibration-isolation platforms
Services
- Vibrational spectroscopy (FTIR and Raman) for chemical analysis
- Measurement of optical properties (reflectance, absorbance and refractive index)
- Optical and dielectric characterisation of thin films
- Plasmonics studies and localised optical response analysis
- Experimental design and spectral data analysis
- User training in advanced optical techniques
