Description

A platform specializing in magnetism, spintronics, and electronic transport for the characterization of materials, thin films, and devices over a wide range of temperatures and magnetic fields. It combines high-sensitivity magnetometry with magnetotransport techniques and magneto-optical measurements to obtain key parameters, including magnetic anisotropy, coercivity, magnetic susceptibility, and electronic response, under controlled conditions.

Equipment

  • SQUID magnetometer (Quantum Design MPMS3)
  • PPMS system with electrical transport, magnetoresistance, and magnetic susceptibility modules
  • Vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM)
  • Magneto-optical Kerr effect (MOKE) system
  • Magnetic field generation up to 9 T
  • Cryostats with temperature control (approximately 2 K to 400 K)
  • High-precision measurement electronics (current and voltage sources and measurement units)

Services
  • Static and dynamic magnetization measurements
  • Characterization of magnetic anisotropy, coercivity, and susceptibility
  • Magnetotransport measurements (magnetoresistance, Hall effect, and conductivity) as a function of temperature (T) and magnetic field (B)
  • Testing of functional materials and thin films
  • Characterization and validation of spintronic devices
  • Support with experimental design and data processing
