The IBM Quantum System Two, located at the Ikerbasque building in Donostia-San Sebastián, is one of the world's most advanced quantum computing infrastructures. Inaugurated in October 2025, it is the first IBM Quantum System Two installed in Europe and features a 156-qubit IBM Heron processor.As part of the IBM–Euskadi Quantum Computational Center, this cutting-edge infrastructure provides researchers, scientific institutions and companies with access to quantum computing technology, opening new opportunities for scientific discovery, technological innovation and the development of solutions to complex challenges in fields such as materials science, chemistry, energy and industry.
BasQ (Basque Quantum) provides its ecosystem with quantum computing capabilities, including the IBM Quantum System Two (ibm_basquecountry) installed in Donostia-San Sebastián and, where applicable, backends available on the IBM Quantum cloud.
