Description

A flexible robotic Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) cell using TIG and MIG/MAG processes, designed to develop and validate material deposition strategies for metallic components.

The cell integrates sensors and monitoring systems to enable closed-loop parameter adjustment based on component geometry and deposited material. It also supports feasibility studies, process modelling and the definition of operating windows.

The facility focuses on developing and maturing manufacturing solutions for component production, facilitating technology transfer through technical consultancy and training.

Equipment

  • 2 FANUC industrial robots.
  • 2-axis positioning table.
  • EWM Titan (MAG welding system).
  • TIG welding process.
  • Rotary tilting table.
  • Monitoring and closed-loop parameter adjustment tools.
Services
  • WAAM feasibility studies (plasma/MIG)
  • Process modelling and parameter development
  • Support for component design
  • Process validation and technical consultancy
  • Technical training
