CIDETEC’s battery engineering laboratories focus on the development of battery modules and packs, as well as the implementation and validation of electronic battery management systems (BMS).

They offer capabilities in mechanical design, electronic integration, cooling, and high-voltage testing, enabling the complete development of solutions ready for validation in vehicles or stationary applications.

Equipment

• Electronics laboratory for BMS development

• High-voltage test bench (\>400 V) with active cooling
• Safety functionality testing system
• Cell simulation and control software
• Environmental testing chambers for operational conditions (vibration, humidity, etc.)

• Design and validation of battery electrical and thermal architectures
• Rapid prototyping of modules with integrated BMS
• Functional testing of battery modules and packs
• Development and testing of charge management, safety, and balancing algorithms
• Full-scale validation of battery performance
• Development services for OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and Tier 1 suppliers
