Description

A distributed infrastructure connected primarily through an advanced telecommunications network and deployed across two locations. It combines sensor-equipped and controlled industrial machinery, advanced image acquisition systems, 5G and other communication technologies, experimental photovoltaic power generation, and a visual analytics and media environment to orchestrate all data flows in connected industry and smart energy scenarios.

Equipment

  • Industrial machinery with motors mounted on a common shaft, sensors and control systems
  • Advanced image acquisition systems (high-speed cameras, thermal imaging cameras, etc.)
  • Telecommunications infrastructure with 5G capabilities and protocol interoperability gateways
  • Experimental photovoltaic installation for powering the laboratory
  • Visual analytics and media room and system for monitoring and control
Services
  • Simulation and testing of connected and smart manufacturing environments
  • Experimentation with IoT, image acquisition and advanced communications (including 5G)
  • Validation of real-time data-driven control, monitoring and energy optimization algorithms
  • Demonstrators and training in visual analytics, remote operation and cyber-physical systems
