High-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure specifically designed for research and development in Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI).
GenIA+ expands and enhances Vicomtech's existing HPC infrastructure with new accelerated computing nodes, enabling complex workflows for training, fine-tuning and deploying large-scale generative models securely and efficiently.
The platform is designed to customize GenAI models using private data from public and private organizations, ensuring confidentiality and regulatory compliance. It positions Vicomtech as a leading reference center for the safe and effective use of customized GenAI in support of the Basque productive sector.
Equipment
Vicomtech's HPC infrastructure, expanded with:
- Two high-performance computing nodes for rapid prototyping of generative AI models, equipped with next-generation GPUs, large memory capacity and high-speed local storage.
- One high-performance computing node for model training, designed to handle intensive computing workloads and large datasets.
- Low-latency, high-bandwidth interconnection network between computing nodes and storage systems.
- High-capacity storage subsystem for large datasets and models.
- Workload orchestration and monitoring software (container environments, job queues and resource management), optimized for generative AI workflows.
- Prototyping, training and fine-tuning generative AI models (text, images, video, code, etc.) using data from public and private organizations.
- Development of complete GenAI pipelines (data preparation, training, evaluation and deployment) leveraging HPC infrastructure.
- Support for regional, national and European R&D projects in generative AI applied to industrial and service sectors.
- Consultancy and demonstrators for the safe and responsible use of customized generative AI, including privacy, security and data governance.
- Support for companies and public administrations in experimenting with new GenAI solutions without requiring their own high-performance computing infrastructure.
