Description

EKNIKER’s robotic machining cell is based on an 8-axis MABI milling robot and is designed for machining large components that cannot be transported to conventional machine tools.

The 8-axis architecture and mobility of the system enable the machining head to be positioned at different locations within an industrial environment, overcoming the dimensional limitations of fixed machining centres.

The system supports milling, turning, grinding and mill-turn operations on large-scale components at different locations.

Equipment

  • 8-axis MABI milling robot with interchangeable machining head
  • High-rigidity positioning and guidance system
  • Capability to move to different locations within an industrial facility for on-site machining
  • Optimised trajectory control system for high-precision robotic machining
Services
  • On-site milling, turning and grinding of large-scale components
  • Machining of components that cannot be transported, using a mobile 8-axis robot
  • Optimisation of robotic machining trajectories
  • Validation of robotic machining processes as an alternative to conventional machine tools
