A laboratory specializing in additive powder metallurgy without melting for the production of metallic, intermetallic, cermet and advanced ceramic components.
The facility integrates Binder Jetting and Metal/Ceramic Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) technologies, together with powder preparation and post-processing operations (debinding and sintering at temperatures of up to 2,200 °C).
It is designed for the production of high-precision prototypes with complex geometries.
Equipment
- Binder jetting equipment with capacity for parts with a maximum volume of 160 x 65 x 65 mm, deposition rates of 30 s/layer, layer thickness of 100 microns, X/Y/Z resolution between 60 and 100 microns and accuracies of +/-0.5%.
- Modified FDM equipment.
- Mixing, grinding and powder processing equipment.
- Spray granulator.
- Removal and sintering furnace up to 2,200 ºC in various atmospheres (vacuum, N2, H2, …).
- Material and process parameter development
- Prototype and pre-series production using Binder Jetting and FDM technologies
- Development of debinding and sintering processes, including associated material characterization
Aimed at:
