Accredited laboratory and Notified Body under the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive for the conformity assessment, functional testing, and cybersecurity evaluation of smart electricity grid equipment, particularly devices used in transformer substations and electrical substations, including intelligent electronic devices (IEDs), gateways, remote terminal units (RTUs), and protection systems.
The laboratory has proprietary testing tools for IEC 61850 protocol certification and offers its facilities for hire as an independent third-party testing laboratory.
It is recognised by the UCA association for IEC 61850 and is an official laboratory for Iberdrola and Saudi Electricity Company.
