Description

A unique multi-robot cell (with up to 16 axes) for large-format metal additive manufacturing and the repair of high-value components, including shafts up to 3 m long and molds/dies up to 2.5 m².

The facility combines three Directed Energy Deposition (DED) technologies: DED-Arc/WAAM, DED-LB/p, and DED-LB/w. It integrates real-time monitoring, industrial connectivity, and 3D geometric inspection.

Equipment

  • 9-axis system: ABB robot + DKP positioner.
  • 16-axis system: two ABB robots + DKP positioner.
  • Dual-wire DED-Arc (MIG/MAG) deposition head.
  • Infrared disk laser and infrared/blue diode laser sources.
  • 4,500 W diode laser.
  • DED-LB/p head with coaxial nozzles and powder feeder.
  • 4,000 W DED-LB/w head.
  • TRUMPF BEO-D70 optical heads.
  • On-axis vision systems (CMOS, MWIR, SWIR) and off-axis HDR vision systems.
  • Creaform HandySCAN Silver Elite 3D scanner.
  • Laser profilometry systems.
  • HMI and proprietary web platform.
  • Fagor 8070 CNC system.
