Description

Energy storage laboratory focused on the electrical and thermal characterization of energy storage systems, particularly batteries.

In addition to verifying electrical and thermal performance, the laboratory conducts lifecycle testing to measure battery degradation under different operating conditions, as well as abuse testing to ensure safety.

It enables detailed analysis and comparison of different storage systems to size, design, or validate solutions tailored to specific applications. By combining electrical, thermal, and safety conditions, the laboratory supports the optimization of energy storage systems and battery management systems (BMS) throughout their entire service life.

Equipment

  • Multichannel test benches for charge and discharge cycle testing.
  • Test environment for evaluating battery cells and battery systems with different chemistries, energy capacities, and power ratings.

Services
  • Electrical characterization testing.
  • Thermal characterization testing.
