With more than 25 years of experience, the laboratory specializes in the evaluation and safety assessment of biomaterials and medical devices through in vitro, ex vivo, and volunteer-based studies.
Its activities focus primarily on toxicity, ADME (absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion), and biological characterization.
The laboratory conducts biocompatibility testing in accordance with ISO 10993 standards. Its laboratories are accredited by Spain's Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs to operate under Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) for medicinal products, medical devices, and hygiene products.
The platform also conducts biological characterization studies of materials and medical devices.
