CIDETEC’s dry-room infrastructure consists of five interconnected areas, covering a total of 480 m² and operating under ultra-low-humidity conditions, with a dew point of −50°C.
These rooms enable the safe and stable processing of moisture-sensitive materials, such as liquid and solid electrolytes, and are essential for assembling lithium-ion, sodium-ion, solid-state, and emerging-technology battery cells. They are used for research, development, and pilot-scale production in a controlled cleanroom environment.
Equipment
- Five interconnected dry rooms with environmental control.
- Dew point of ≤ −50°C in all areas.
- Continuous air recirculation and drying system.
- Dedicated areas for mixing, coating, cell assembly, and sealing.
- Equipment for the safe handling of solvents.
- Integration with the pilot plant and testing laboratories.
- Processing of moisture-sensitive materials.
- Battery cell assembly under industrial conditions.
- Safe handling of electrolytes, salts, and electrodes.
- Support for projects involving sodium-ion (Na-ion), lithium-ion (Li-ion), solid-state batteries (SSB), lithium-sulfur (Li-S), and other technologies.
- Reproducible environmental conditions for R&D and validation.
