A methodology focused on minimising development costs by making use of digital tools before proceeding to the experimental stages.

Depending on the type of product, it combines computer-aided design (CAD), multiphysics simulation and rapid physical prototyping to validate the geometry and functionality of parts, components and assemblies under representative operating conditions.

Equipment

  • Design, calculation and simulation software:
    - CAD: SolidWorks.
    - Product Data Management (PDM): SolidWorks.
    - Finite Element Analysis (FEA/FEM): MSC, Altair OptiStruct and Ansys.
    - Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD): Fluent and Flow.
    - Multibody Dynamics Simulation: Adams and Motion.
  • Rapid prototyping modelling and manufacturing equipment.
