TEKNIKER's laboratory for the analysis of the physicochemical and thermal properties of industrial fluids — including lubricants, coolants, oils, cutting fluids and liquid coatings — as well as the synthesis and purification of fluids and formulations at laboratory scale.

It complements the Materials Characterization Laboratory (TEK-053) by focusing on fluids and liquid formulations.

• Analysis of thermal properties (DSC calorimetry, TGA thermogravimetric analysis and thermal conductivity)
• Laboratory-scale synthesis and formulation of fluids and liquid coatings
• Purification and curing of formulations
• Evaluation of fluid compatibility with materials and coatings
• Development and optimization of lubricants, coolants and process fluids
