KATEA is a digital infrastructure comprising three interconnected platforms — Research Cloud, Data Lab and Compute Platform — that provide advanced capabilities for addressing complex digital transformation projects in companies and institutions.

Its distinctive value lies in combining high-performance computing, private cloud services and scientific data management within a modular, secure and customisable environment.

Equipment and Platforms

Compute Platform

- High-performance computing cluster delivering more than 1 petaflop, specialised in artificial intelligence (AI), physical simulation, structural analysis and advanced scientific computing.
- Tools: Jupyter Notebooks, RStudio, MATLAB and others.

Data Lab

- Platform for managing and exploiting data from multiple sources, including buildings, laboratories, projects and industrial sensors.
- Shared, collaborative access for R&D projects.

Research Cloud

- Private cloud based on Red Hat technologies, designed to deploy customised digital environments for individual projects or clients.
- Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), providing virtual machines, storage and networking, with full control over access, security and performance.
