Descripción

A laboratory dedicated to the development of high-value-added components through sintering-assisted additive manufacturing, covering the entire production chain, from design and simulation to manufacturing and post-processing.

The facility supports technologies such as Binder Jetting, extrusion and stereolithography, working with both metallic and ceramic materials. It enables the validation of printing, debinding and sintering processes before industrial scale-up.

The infrastructure incorporates the 3DBERRI platform (AZPITEK 2024), strengthening process data acquisition and analysis, powder sustainability and circularity (zero-waste approaches), and the development of new materials and composites.

Equipment

  • 3DBERRI metallic Binder Jetting platform, including:
    - Large-format printer.
    - Powder handling, mixing and recovery systems.
    - Process monitoring systems.
  • Binder Jetting printers:
    - 2 × ExOne Innovent.
    - Z-Corp.
    - HP Metal Jet S100.
  • Extrusion and stereolithography printers (filaments, pastes and pellets).
  • Debinding and sintering/densification furnaces operating under controlled atmospheres.
  • Design and topology optimization software, printing/sintering simulation tools and data analysis software.
  • Post-processing equipment for surface finishing and functionalization.
Servicios
  • Functional prototyping and small-batch production of metallic and ceramic components.
  • Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) and optimization (weight reduction, performance improvement and functional integration).
  • Full process validation (printing–debinding–sintering–finishing) and lead-time reduction.
  • Custom material and powder development.
  • Process robustness, repeatability and quality assurance (process data and zero-defect strategies).
  • Powder sustainability and circularity (zero-waste approaches).
  • Technology transfer, training and support for industrial scale-up.
