TECNALIA has identified NANOTECHNOLOGY as a key enabling technology in all of its Business Divisions, thus covering applications of nanotechnology in the Construction, Telecommunications, Industry & Transport, Health and Energy & Environment industries.
At TECNALIA, our approach is to generate knowledge in nanoscience and nanotechnology, which can
lead to high added value materials and products, ensuring economic impact and job creation coming
from the resulting nanotechnology-based industrial applications.
Our R&D activities span the industrial value chain from nanomaterials (e.g. graphene, nanocellulose,
nanoparticles, nanofibers, etc.) to final nano-based products; taking into account the environmental,
health and safety (EHS) impacts of nanotechnology.
- Novel nanomaterials and derived nano-based products
- Health, safety & environmental impacts of nanotechnology
- Nanophotonics & nanoelectronics
- Multi-scale modeling tools for predicting material properties
