IKERLAN’s laboratory focuses on the design, development, and validation of advanced electronic hardware, integrating PCB design, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), high-performance embedded systems, and methods for automated validation and virtualization.
It covers the entire value chain of electronic products, from design through EMC validation and regulatory compliance support, without the need to outsource critical stages.
The laboratory specializes in power electronics, embedded processing, FPGAs, and battery management systems (BMS), with demanding performance, reliability, and electromagnetic compatibility requirements. Team members actively participate in AENOR’s National Technical Committee CTN 208 on EMC.
Equipment
- PCB laboratory: PCB manufacturing system with laser structuring equipment, an automatic Pick-and-Place assembly line, and a vapor-phase soldering oven.
- EMC laboratory: Semi-anechoic chamber, conducted emissions and immunity and transient testing bench, high-performance oscilloscopes, ESD/EFT-Burst/Surge generators, and a climatic chamber.
- Virtualization laboratory: National Instruments platforms (cDAQ, PXI, cRIO, sbRIO), Speedgoat, Zynq, and NVIDIA systems.
- Advanced PCB design and high-speed interface design (DDR, Ethernet, MIPI)
- Signal integrity simulation and thermal design
- Integration of power electronics and BMS into PCBs
- Definition of regulatory requirements and EMC test plans
