A PPMS-type cryogenic system that enables the measurement of the electrical and magnetic properties of materials under extreme low-temperature and high-magnetic-field conditions. The system integrates automatic temperature control from below 2 K to room temperature and a superconducting magnet rated at 9 T or higher, with an internal sample chamber and interchangeable sample holders.
It will be integrated into CIC nanoGUNE’s Magnetism and Spintronics Platform, strengthening the characterisation of nanostructured materials relevant to electronics, magnetism and spintronics.
Equipment
- PPMS/cryogenic system with automatic temperature control (below 2 K to room temperature).
- Superconducting magnet (≥9 T).
- Internal sample chamber and interchangeable sample holders.
- Configuration for electrical and magnetic measurements under extreme conditions.
- Electrical and magnetic characterisation as a function of temperature and magnetic field.
- Resistance versus temperature measurements (R(T)), current–voltage and voltage–current measurements (I–V/V–I), and magnetoresistance measurements.
- Magnetotransport and magnetic susceptibility testing.
- Characterisation of nanostructured materials and devices.
- Support with experimental design and measurement protocols.
Possibility:
