IKERLAN’s DIGILAB-AI laboratory specializes in applied artificial intelligence, with advanced infrastructure for training, inference, and the development of AI and Generative AI solutions.
It covers the entire data and AI value chain, from training large language models (LLMs) to their efficient deployment on embedded devices. Its capabilities include sovereign Generative AI without reliance on external cloud services, federated learning, and intelligent edge-cloud orchestration.
The laboratory features a state-of-the-art GPU training cluster, a heterogeneous Edge Computing cluster (NPN Preferred Jetson Partner), and a traditional computing cluster.
Equipment
- AI and Generative AI cluster (\>3.5 PFLOPS): NVIDIA HGX B300, H200, DGX A100, and L40S.
- Traditional computing cluster: more than 500 CPU cores, over 3.5 TB of RAM, and more than 200 TB of storage.
- Heterogeneous Edge Computing cluster: NVIDIA DGX Spark, Jetson AGX Orin, Xavier, and Nano.
- Local Edge infrastructure (IKERLAN) integrated with Telefónica’s remote Edge infrastructure in Bilbao and cloud services.
- Inference and deployment of AI models in production environments
