TEKNIKER laboratory dedicated to the processing, formulation and characterisation of thermoplastic polymers, thermosetting polymers and composite materials. It covers the entire polymer material development cycle, from resin synthesis and the development of filaments for 3D printing to moulding processes such as injection moulding, infusion, lamination and compression moulding, including the characterisation of curing processes and the mechanical and thermal properties of the resulting materials.

• Haake Minijet micro-injection moulding machine

• Resin synthesis equipment (solution, emulsion and suspension polymerisation)

• Development and characterisation of filaments for FDM 3D printing
• Manufacturing of test specimens and parts through injection moulding, lamination, infusion and compression moulding
• Resin synthesis through solution, emulsion and suspension polymerisation
• Analysis of curing kinetics and degree of crosslinking (COMSOL)
• Mechanical and thermal characterisation of polymers and composites
• -Development of sustainable polymer formulations
• Scale-up of forming processes
