A testing infrastructure for the certification of power converters (AC/DC), designed to verify grid connection performance and product safety in accordance with UNE/EN/IEC/UL standards.
The laboratory enables the validation of critical grid-connection functions, including anti-islanding/loss of mains (LOM), Low Voltage Ride Through (LVRT), active power-frequency (P-f) response, reactive power-voltage (Q-V) response, and harmonic emissions. It also covers safety requirements, including IP/IK ratings, insulation, and environmental testing.
The facility is equipped with programmable grid simulators (up to 150 kW adjustable and 450 kW fixed), DC power supplies (150/300 kW, up to 1,000 VDC), a walk-in environmental chamber of approximately 30 m³, and RLC loads (Q \> 2.5) for anti-islanding tests.
The laboratory covers grid codes and standards including UNE-EN 50549-1, CEI 0-21, VDE-AR-N 4105, IEEE 1547/UL 1741, and RD 244/2019, as well as safety standards IEC/EN/UL 62109, IEC/EN 62477-1, and IEC 61851-1/23/24.
It is accredited by ENAC under ISO/IEC 17025 (accreditation no. 4/LE148) and registered with LOVAG and the IECEE CB Scheme.
