A configurable pilot line that realistically replicates the recycling and dismantling process for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). It integrates identification and sorting stations, mobile handling, hyperspectral inspection, 3D dimensional reconstruction and robotic dismantling, enabling key process operations to be analysed and automated.
Designed to evaluate vision, robotics and digitalisation technologies for the recycling sector, support investment decisions and develop new circular economy approaches for electronic products.
Equipment
- Identification and sorting station: Photoneo MotionCam-3D L + Infaimon In-Picker with deep learning (DL).
- MoMa mobile manipulation system (Robotnik RB-VOGUI + UR10e) for transporting products and parts between stations.
- Hyperspectral inspection station: Specim FX17 + LabScanner 100x50.
- Dimensional reconstruction station: LMI Gocator 5516 Confocal + UR10e.
- Handling and dismantling station: KUKA LBR iiwa 14 R820.
- Auxiliary equipment: Conveyors, storage stations, and line safety and control systems.
- Replication and analysis of WEEE recycling lines in a laboratory environment.
- Evaluation of automation solutions (vision systems, fixed and mobile robotics) for sorting, inspection and dismantling.
- Development and validation of recognition, 3D reconstruction and dismantling-planning algorithms.
- Technical and economic feasibility studies and support for digital transformation decisions at recycling plants.
