Inbiomed

Research organizations

Inbiomed is a private institution in biomedical research and regenerative medicine, located at the Gipuzkoa Science and Technology Park in San Sebastian. The research carried out in Inbiomed is focused on the biology of adult, embryonic and induced pluripotent (iPSCs) stem cells with a strong interest in their application in the fields of hematological diseases and neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson's Disease. We carry on translational research in order to bring our results to the patients´ bed as soon as possible. The research carried out in Inbiomed is complemented with Inbiobank, a cell bank where we isolate and store high quality adult primary stem cells derived from several adult tissues, which is a node of the Banco Nacional de Líneas Celulares. Additionally there are 2 Core Facilities at Inbiomed aimed to give service and provide support to the researchers: 1. Cell Reprogramming and Differentiation Platform: facilitates and optimizes the production of human induced pluripotent stem cell lines derived from patients with different pathologies and obtaining specific lineages using differentiation protocols. 2. Cytometry and Advanced Optical Microscopy Platform: carries out the processes in confocal microscopy and multi-parameter cell sorting.
